Celebrating Digital Inclusion Hubs: Hub of the Month
We're celebrating the hard work of the National Digital Inclusion Network by nominating a Hub of the Month every month.
November's Hub of the Month is…
Digital Kent
Digital Kent has created a central Digital Hub, which oversees a network of over 30 local hubs throughout the county, that deliver monthly 1-1 sessions within two-hour slots. Since 2023, they have delivered more than 905 hub sessions, supported by their volunteer network of over 280 active Digital Champions. These champions meet residents at their local libraries to provide focused digital support, ranging from help with specific technical issues to general guidance on using devices.
Digital Kent's central hub also compliments their Connectivity Access Scheme, which allows people in their community to get connected as well as increase digital skills.
Sitting within their Knowledge Hub, the team have also used Learn My Way, which has helped their Digital Champion network and staff to build confidence and digital knowledge.
The combination of training and using celebration weeks, such as Get Online Week, to enhance and engage communities with their services has helped them offer long-term solutions to long-term challenges, making digital inclusion a reality for Kent’s most vulnerable residents.
A massive congratulations to Digital Kent, and thank you for all your hard work to fix the digital divide.
Apply to be our next Hub of the Month!
We love celebrating the fantastic hubs in our network. Every month our winning hub receives a £100 Amazon voucher with a mention in our newsletter and on our social channels.
You can now nominate your own hub or another to be our Hub of the Month. This is your opportunity to shout about the amazing things you are doing and receive some well-earned recognition! If you believe your hub (or another) deserves to be celebrated, please share the details and nominate through this form.
