Celebrating Digital Inclusion Hubs: Hub of the Month
We're celebrating the hard work of the National Digital Inclusion Network by nominating a Hub of the Month every month.
October's Hub of the Month is…
Food For Homeless Project
Food For Homeless Project (FFH) provides food, friendship, and digital inclusion support for their community, including people experiencing homelessness and refugees. Based in a church in London, they create a safe and welcoming environment where people can eat, connect, and learn essential digital skills.
The team recently received mobile phones through Camden Council, which came from the National Device Bank. These devices have allowed people to download apps, giving them instant access to help, crisis lines, and wellbeing tools.
FFH also support individuals to complete online training, apply for jobs, and learn digital basics such as email, internet safety, and using government or NHS services. Their community use Learn My Way to build essential digital and language skills - from learning how to send an email to managing finances or applying for work online.
Through the National Databank, they have supported participants with free mobile data, helping them stay connected to family, support workers, and emergency services.
The project has brought people together, reducing loneliness and isolation while improving confidence and digital literacy.
A massive congratulations to Food For Homeless Project, and thank you for all your hard work to fix the digital divide.
Apply to be our next Hub of the Month!
We love celebrating the fantastic hubs in our network. Every month our winning hub receives a £100 Amazon voucher with a mention in our newsletter and on our social channels.
You can now nominate your own hub or another to be our Hub of the Month. This is your opportunity to shout about the amazing things you are doing and receive some well-earned recognition! If you believe your hub (or another) deserves to be celebrated, please share the details and nominate through this form.
